Why I'm walking to World Arthritis Day

I am raising money for Versus Arthritis by taking on Walk to World Arthritis Day.

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in July 2023 and have first-hand experience of some of the struggles associated with this disease - including stigma, a lack of understanding of the condition, coming to terms with having a lifelong and debilitating illness, living with chronic pain, trying various different treatments (all with their own side effects and risks), having to advocate for yourself when it comes to doctors and hospital appointments, ridiculously long waiting times... I could go on!

I'm aiming to raise awareness and funds to help people like me live a better life, and - hopefully, one day - find a cure.

Your donations will fund world class research, high quality services and campaigns that matter most to people with arthritis.
