Why I'm walking to World Arthritis Day
As a kid I was diagnosed with arthritis in my knees, fast forward to when I was about 13 and I kept getting misdiagnosed with tennis and golfers elbow. Finally someone made the effort to look at my history and after an MRI, it was confirmed that I had arthritis in my elbows. As I’ve got older the joints affected are, elbows, wrists, fingers and knees. It can be hard to cope with arthritis on a day to day basis, every little helps!
To add to it, my Mum also has arthritis in her knees.
I am raising money for Versus Arthritis by taking on Walk to World Arthritis Day.
This is my own personal challenge to support the lives of those living with arthritis in the UK. Versus Arthritis won’t rest until everyone with arthritis has access to the treatments and support they need to live the life they choose, with real hope of a cure in the future.
Your donations will fund world class research, high quality services and campaigns that matter most to people with arthritis.
