The Challenge
Do I have to walk every day?
The challenge will last for 12 days (01/10/2024 – 12/10/2024) however you’re in control so you can do what feels right for you, at your own level, at your own pace.
Be sure to count your everyday steps, as well as any planned activity you do to take on this challenge.
Why is my step total larger than what I put as my daily target?
When registering, you selected either 1,000 steps a day (12,000 challenge target), 10,000 steps a day (120,000 challenge target) or your own personal daily step target.
You can change your target at any time in your account by logging in or contact us on fundraising@versusarthritis.org.
I have limited movement and can’t walk far, is that a problem?
Absolutely not a problem. This is your own personal challenge so set something that is manageable and safe for you to achieve over the 12 days and take it at your own pace.
I can’t walk, can I take part?
If you’re unable to walk with ease or use a wheelchair you can still take on this challenge by recording the kilometres you travel each day. You can manually add these in, and it will convert it to steps for you.
For every kilometre you move, you will get 1,312 steps.
Do I have to step?
This challenge is your daily steps, along with any additional activity you plan, such as an extra walk each day. If you are taking on other activities such as swimming, you can also record your kilometres you have moved, and manually add them. These will convert into steps and be added to your challenge total.
