Raising awareness for JIA in Children

As some of you know my daughter Lola was diagnosed with JIA Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis  when she was only 3 and half years old. You often think young children would never be diagnosed with Arthritis it’s only for older people but myself was so wrong. Watching your child in pain and struggling to do daily tasks like walk down the stairs or get out of bed, kick a football is heartbreaking because you know there is nothing you can do to help them.

But also other conditions can come with JIA Lola was also diagnosed with Uveitis an eye condition where there is inflammation at the back of the eye and can cause blindness if untreated.

Lola is now 7 years old and with regular trips to hospital, daily medication and regular blood tests it’s under control and back to being a normal child running around.

I’m doing this to raise awareness for the poor children who have this auto immune disease, we have no reason why this happens!
